Comprehensive Background Report API for Developers | Updated June 2024

New Background Check API

In June 2024, we updated our Background Check API to Background Report API (api_back), which allows users to obtain complete background reports on individuals and offers  myriad of data points including name, phone and address history, criminal records, bankruptcies, liens, judgments, and much more! 

Obtaining a Background Report is a two-step process: 
1. People Search -  used to identify the correct subject and retrieve the "reportToken" from the data.
2. Background Report - provides a detailed report for the person selected in Step 1. You will pass the "reportToken" value to obtain the report. 

Note: Accounts with the Restricted Access Add-on can also see SSN info, driver's licenses, employers, employment history, business associations, voter registrations, and other restricted information.

This API tool is great for web and mobile developers working in various industries in HR, recruitment, legal, and many more.
