What is the difference between People Search API and People Trace API?
Searchbug has two different People Search APIs:
1. People Search API - this API helps you find contact information for people in the US. If you have the Restricted Access Add-On, driver's license and SSN information will appear in the People Search API query as well. Additionally, the person ID obtained from People Search can be used to access the
Background Report with even more details such as employment information, business associations, evictions, criminal records, personal lien, judgment and bankruptcy filings, licenses, and many more.
2. People Trace API - this is the best API you can use for tracking down hard-to-locate individuals. This is beneficial for businesses in Law enforcement, Debt Collection, Legal Services, Insurance, etc. Results from this API typically include Names, Aliases (aka), Death Records Search, Current Address, Previous Addresses, SSN, driver's license information, and more. This API requires users to have the Restricted Access Add-On. The main difference is this API utilizes far more data sources to search for a subject, hence the higher cost.
